Goals & 2 Week Menu

This past week was our last week of summer!  (boohoo)  I really don't feel ready for the start of a new school year.  Fall is an especially busy time for our family with birthdays and holidays- and an especially fun time.  Plus with a new baby coming soon I know the time is going to fly and I usually like to be better prepared!  In fact, I had a horrible nightmare a few weeks ago that everyone got up Christmas morning and said, "Santa didn't come.  There are no presents under the tree!"  And I looked at my husband and said, "Oh no, I forgot to do any Christmas shopping!"  There really is a lot of pressure on Mom to make sure the holidays are great memories for the family!  I think these weekly goals should help me be better prepared so that my nightmare doesn't come true!

We did a lot of playing this week since it was our last week so I didn't get as many of my goals done as I had planned.

We also had a great lesson at church today about prioritizing our lives:  Putting the most important things first and prayerfully planning our days so that our will and our efforts are in line with what our Heavenly Father wants us to do.  I want to make sure that I am "checking in" more through prayer to make sure I am spending my time how God wants me to.

I also want to plan out my menus 2 weeks in advance and reduce my shopping trips and my grocery budget.

Goals:
Go through clothes & evaluate what they need for school; put away things that are too small

Clean up sewing room for guests

Plan preschool lesson for next week

Plan cubscouts for next week

Look into arrow for E-man's arrow of light

Finish putting together games for piano lessons

Plant sunflower seeds and pole beans

Cook & freeze pinto beans in crockpot

Make granola 

Make yogurt 

Inventory what I have in freezer

Bread with dip from Carrabbas

Wed-  Crockpot Verde Chicken

Thurs- Chicken Salad Wraps

Fri- Pizza Calzones

Sat- Chicken Tortilla Soup

Sun- Fauxtisserie Chicken
Fried Okra
Sweet Potatoes

Mon- Crockpot Mongolian Beef
Rice
Carrots

Tues- Crockpot Potatoes
Salad
Whole Wheat Banana Muffins with walnuts

Wed-  Spaghetti with Roasted Tomato pasta sauce
salad

Thurs-  White Bean Alfredo on shells
broccoli
carrots

Fri- Pizza

Sat- Black Bean Soup

Sun- Beef stroganoff
Peas
sweet potatoes

Mon- Bean Burritos
Rice
Salad
