Liahona Lesson
We had a great FHE on Monday. Simple but the boys seemed to really like it and hopefully will remember what they learned and felt. We talked about the story of Lehi and his family and how the Lord gave them the Liahona as their guide. We read a little in the Book of Mormon about what the Liahona represents and then talked about our Liahona- mainly the Holy Ghost. Then we played a little game. We used our compass and I had hidden a treasure before hand. First they tried to find it without a compass. Then I gave them directions and they used the compass to find it right away. We compared this to our life journey and then Jer and I told personal stories about times when the Holy Ghost has directed and guided us. We tried to help the boys think of times when they felt the Holy Ghost, too. For our game the boys wanted to keep on hiding things and finding them with the compass.
